    Hello!
    Himalayan Greetings from Sikkim!!
My name is Raman Shresta & I own a bookshop in Gangtok!
I first came across your blog and RTFF in June when a friend recommended it to me. This was about the same time I was organizing Sikkim’s first ever documentary film festival. Which brings me to the point directly – I shall be visiting Chennai early next week. Would you be able to recommend any places the would be of interest to a book shop owner and a film enthusiast? Through my bookshop, I have been organizing several musical evenings, reading sessions, organized Manipuri folk theater and film screenings and also hosted Sikkim’s first ever Installation Art exhibition by an artist from Japan. I have a medium sized hall that also doubles up as a gallery space on the first floor of the bookshop. We have also organized screenings for schools. Now I want to start a full fledged film society here.
I am also a photographer at a very amateur level and some of the photos can be seen at http://www.bulletproof-raman.blogspot.com
Me and some of my friends have great interest in films from South India and I would like to buy some dvds too. Do you know of a distributor or a wholeseller who would stock these and music in Chennai?
I look forward to your reply at an earliest as I’m leaving home this sunday.
    Thanks.
    Raman

Hey glad to see the leave ur comment box open. Ur reviews are quite insightful….But ur choice of expletives leaves much to be desired. Why aim at an adults-only blog?

raman, we spoke on the phone. so nothing more to add here.

Rachel, thanks. i dont remember putting in any expletives. but this is clearly not a ‘family blog’. I dont post for children in any case.

    Hi Nandhu,
I am Suresh Babu, working as a software Engineer. I would request you to read a article (suggest a story link) posted by me in metroblogging. I have uploaded all the current details about a pathetic condition of a public road in the heart of chennai city.
it would be great if you could spend some time on that article. You being in the media, it would be great if you highlight public issues. Iam excited to intreact with you further on this public issue. Let me know your availability. Thank You.

It’s Mulberry Street in NYC, in the ever-shrinking neighborhood known as Little Italy.
